ONSTAGE Swapsies: Beautiful Day

Hi there and thank you for joining me. Today I am getting into gear as I have recently had the pleasure of going to ONSTAGE Telford. This is a time where Stampin' Up! demonstrators get together swap ideas, hear about updates on products and get to see the new catalogue -all I can say is that there are TONS of amazing things coming your way.

One of my personal challenges to myself is get into regular blogging.....it's always on my to do list, but I only seem to be able to manage one thing at once -Instagram (@inkspiration_lucy_victoria) and Facebook (Crafts by Lucy Victoria -now I have those linked works great!)

One thing that is brilliant about going to Onstage is the opportunity to make swaps. These are little 3D projects, or card fronts/full cards that demonstrators make (as little or as many as you like) and you swap with fellow demonstrators. It's a fantastic way to be inspired (and also dangerous -my Stampin' Up! shopping list is HUGE now -ha ha!) Anyway, today I was really honoured to see that my swap had inspired Liz Yuille to CASE my design.  Head over to Liz's site to see how she created her variation on my design.

My Recipe for the Beautiful Day Swaps

..A picture can say a thousand words -so where I can I will let my photos do the talking :-)

Stamp Smokey slate onto whisper white card

Prepare the butterflies and sentiments from the Beautiful day stamp set and begin colouring in....I used various Stampin' blends (currently unavailable until back in stock) and various water colour pencils and a blender pen. This is because I wanted to let fellow demo's pick their favourite colour from my swaps (sorry if you got my last one-not much choice there...)

Then let the snipping begin! Fussy cut the butterflies and quirky cut the sentiment. I personally didn't want the edges to be perfect as I felt it gave it a quirky feel which is what I was after.

Fussy Cut...

                                               Quirky Cut.......

Sponge the edge of the sentiments and the card front with Smokey Slate ink

Time to assemble -I used tombow...

Arty-ish shots -just for fun....

This is another design I made using the same set, but using the sheet music back ground stamp  and the hearts from the stamp set heart happiness which is in the Spring/Summer catalogue which runs until 31st May 2018. Just swap smokey slate for crumb cake, whisper white for very vanilla and colour the butterflies with stampin' blends.

Thanks again for joining me, hope you have a great weekend. Please leave a comment -would love to know where you are visiting from. If you have any questions please feel free to ask. If you don't already have a demonstrator and would love to get your hands on some of these gorgeous Stampin' Up products then please get in touch  -I would love to be your demonstrator and help INKspire your creative side.

Best wishes, Lucy

Original Telford Recipe

Beautiful Day Recipe
Whisper white card stock
Beautiful Day stamp set. Flower stamped in Smokey slate for background. Sponge dauber to sponge Smokey slate round edges.
Butterfly stamped in black memento and then coloured in. Fussy cut butterfly.
Coloured using either; Stampin blends: various or Water colour pencils: various and blender pen.
Sentiment from Beautiful day stamped in black memento onto whisper white card stock. I cut out by hand so edges not meant to be perfectly straight (quirky cut) –then sponged again Smokey slate.
Everything adhered with Tombow with edges left free as if butterfly could fly away at any moment J
Thanks for swapping-have a beautiful day at Telford 2018!

So Happy this is in the New Catalogue!

I'm so HAPPY this in the NEW CATALOGUE The annual catalogue is now live and it is so exciting. It is full to bursting with gorgeous products. A new in colour range and some amazing new products and stamp sets which I just LOVE and can't wait to get my hands one. Of course, there are some products that I am so happy that they are in the new catalogue. As I am waiting on my order of new items to arrive (I just couldn't decide what I wanted first), I have based my blog hop contribution today on things that I am so happy that they are staying. I have chosen a few stamp sets (there are so many) that I really love using. First up.... Beautiful You meets Sheltering Tree. Beautiful You is a gorgeous photopolymer stamp set introduced in the spring/summer catalogue from Stampin' Up and it remains with us in the new 2017/2018 annual catalogue. YEAH. It was behind the inspiration for a project I made a little while ago. I combined the Beautiful You set wit
