A review of 2016 -these are a few of my favourite things!

A review of 2016.....welcome to this month's Jem's blog....the last one of 2016. For this months blog hop I have chosen to share with you one of my favourite sets -Sheltering tree. I love this set because it is a real all rounder. It can be used for so many occasions throughout the year. It's a real four seasons stamp set. The ladies who come to my craft classes love this set too -it is one of their favourites. So much so that a friend chose to come and join me for an afternoon and make wedding invitations for her Dad's wedding.  Aren't the invites gorgeous...

A little bit a dazzling detail -gold really lifts those crumb cake hearts (from the perpetual birthday calendar stamp set)

My friend also made a co-ordinating wedding gift for her Dad and his wife-to-be too...

(you can also see another of my favourite products in this shot too -tombo couldn't live without that).

During February 2016  I hosted two Valentines craft evenings -we made a gift box (with lush lindor chocolates inside) and decorated the boxes and the card was made with the sheltering tree stamp set

Some guests opted to convert the Valentines card into a special birthday card instead...

and in the back ground, if you look closely, you can see my wine bottle has been decorated with the tree from the sheltering tree stamp set. I stamped onto tissue paper, let the ink dry and the pasted the image very carefully onto the bottle using PVA glue. I then put a set of coloured LED lights (battery operated) into the bottle -really simple and effective and creates a little talking point when guests come to dinner or craft parties.

And finally, a card I made for an amazingly fun couple who celebrated their first wedding anniversary back in July. When I go to a wedding I try to save something from the service or wedding breakfast/reception that could be used on a card a year later. This time, I used one of their wooden heart table decorations that they had custom made for their special day and incorporated into my design.

Thank you for stopping by. Happy hopping through the rest of the Jem's pages teeming with inspiration and ideas. Have a wonderful time, an amazing Christmas and a happy 2017 -see you next year :-)

So Happy this is in the New Catalogue!

I'm so HAPPY this in the NEW CATALOGUE The annual catalogue is now live and it is so exciting. It is full to bursting with gorgeous products. A new in colour range and some amazing new products and stamp sets which I just LOVE and can't wait to get my hands one. Of course, there are some products that I am so happy that they are in the new catalogue. As I am waiting on my order of new items to arrive (I just couldn't decide what I wanted first), I have based my blog hop contribution today on things that I am so happy that they are staying. I have chosen a few stamp sets (there are so many) that I really love using. First up.... Beautiful You meets Sheltering Tree. Beautiful You is a gorgeous photopolymer stamp set introduced in the spring/summer catalogue from Stampin' Up and it remains with us in the new 2017/2018 annual catalogue. YEAH. It was behind the inspiration for a project I made a little while ago. I combined the Beautiful You set wit
