Christmas Decorations

Christmas Decorations.

Welcome to the November Jems Blog Hop.

This month I opted to make a Christmas Tree Ornament and a Christmas Candle.

Christmoose ornament

I purchased a non-glazed ceramic flat bauble blank and stamped onto the ornament using black stazon ink. The Moose (coloured in using markers) is from the set Jolly Friends and the sentiment is from a retired SU set Endless Wishes. I added snowflakes (Endless Wishes)  in Pool Party ink and added some diamantes (coloured purple).

My second Christmas decoration will be a nice addition to the mantle piece this year...I do love seeing the garland hanging over the fireplace, held in place by a variety of Christmas trinkets.

Christmas Candle -let the light shine.

I stamped the trees from Lovely as a Tree onto tissue paper using Old Olive ink. I then used my heat tool to melt the tissue paper onto the candle.

I used dazzling details glue to add some Christmas sparkle to the trees. I made quite a few candles and left them clean and simple...except the next one.......
WARNING: don't hold the heat tool over one spot for too long-otherwise you have to come up with some emergency covering -because you melted the top layer of wax off the candle -eeeeeek and hence the 'Merry Christmas' label :-)

Despite the error -it still looks glitzy and Christmassy.  I am happy for this to go on my mantle piece this Christmas. On this candle I also did little blobs of dazzling details all over the white area of the candle to try and create sparkly 'falling' snow. You can just see them above the Merry Christmas sentiment from the Star of Light stamp set. The label is held in place using two brads.

Thanks for joining us once again, but don't stop here. If you missed one hop back to see Tracy's blog or hop forward to Sharon's and be inspired for Christmas. See you next month.

So Happy this is in the New Catalogue!

I'm so HAPPY this in the NEW CATALOGUE The annual catalogue is now live and it is so exciting. It is full to bursting with gorgeous products. A new in colour range and some amazing new products and stamp sets which I just LOVE and can't wait to get my hands one. Of course, there are some products that I am so happy that they are in the new catalogue. As I am waiting on my order of new items to arrive (I just couldn't decide what I wanted first), I have based my blog hop contribution today on things that I am so happy that they are staying. I have chosen a few stamp sets (there are so many) that I really love using. First up.... Beautiful You meets Sheltering Tree. Beautiful You is a gorgeous photopolymer stamp set introduced in the spring/summer catalogue from Stampin' Up and it remains with us in the new 2017/2018 annual catalogue. YEAH. It was behind the inspiration for a project I made a little while ago. I combined the Beautiful You set wit
