All that Glitters

All that Glitters

Welcome to the October Jem's "All that Glitters" Blog Hop!

I trust that you have been dazzled and inkspired by some wonderful creations today on the Jem's Monthly Blog Hop and what an amazing day to have a blog hop -World Card Making Day (be sure to check out the amazing card making offers from Stampin Up -loads of card making items on sale 1st-5th October -don't miss out).

Here are my all that glitters creations

Love & Affection meets Wink of Stella.

I was commissioned to create a glitzy wedding card for a friend. I chose a crumb cake cardstock base, stamped Mixed Boarders in Pacific point ink, and coloured all the flowers in with Tempting Turquoise all stamped onto Very Vanilla card stock. The larger flowers, that I cut out, come from the stamp set Love & Affection. I raised them up on Stampin Up dimensionals and added a diamante in the middle of the flowers, to give the card that extra sparkle. I used the Large Letters Framelits for the lettering and finished it off with Wink of Stella (Gold).

Here is the finished card...

My second make is a glass candle bauble that I have made into what I am calling a 'Fairy Orb' .

The products used are Botanical Blooms stamp set for the leaves. I used the small fairy from the set Fairy Celebration and very carefully cut her out. I then coloured her in using my Stampin write Markers (various colours -wisteria wonder, rich razzleberry, Bermuda bay and blushing bride). I stamped the fairy image again, but this time, punched out the fairy wings using the bitty butterfuly punch to give her 3D wings. The final thing was the 'roses' created using (sorry) a retired product spiral flower die. Everything was assembled using a hot glue gun and the fairy was mounted onto a thin strip of window sheet to give the illusion of her 'flying' above the flowers. To make it an ALL THAT GLITTERS creation -out came the Wink of Stella (gold) and every surface got a little rub down with the stella brush....I think this will look really sweet on the Chirstmas tree this year :-)

A little video (first one ever) of my Fairy Orb and the 'flying fairy'...look at the way she sparkles...

Thank you for stopping by and have a great Saturday and World Card Making Day 2016.

So Happy this is in the New Catalogue!

I'm so HAPPY this in the NEW CATALOGUE The annual catalogue is now live and it is so exciting. It is full to bursting with gorgeous products. A new in colour range and some amazing new products and stamp sets which I just LOVE and can't wait to get my hands one. Of course, there are some products that I am so happy that they are in the new catalogue. As I am waiting on my order of new items to arrive (I just couldn't decide what I wanted first), I have based my blog hop contribution today on things that I am so happy that they are staying. I have chosen a few stamp sets (there are so many) that I really love using. First up.... Beautiful You meets Sheltering Tree. Beautiful You is a gorgeous photopolymer stamp set introduced in the spring/summer catalogue from Stampin' Up and it remains with us in the new 2017/2018 annual catalogue. YEAH. It was behind the inspiration for a project I made a little while ago. I combined the Beautiful You set wit
